Civic Luncheon

The Livery Hall, Guildhall – Friday 5 May 2017 at 12.15 for 12.45 pm

The annual Civic Luncheon is the premier event in the Club’s calendar. This year we are returning to the historic surroundings of Guildhall. Designed by Sir Horace Jones in 1872, the Grade II listed Livery Hall was used as a museum until the outbreak of the Second World War. The contents were removed for safe-keeping but were never returned, later being transferred to the Museum of London. Restored as an events space and reopened in 2008, the room was renamed the Livery Hall to reflect the City’s links to its Livery Companies.

Our principal guest will be Alderman and Sheriff William Russell, who will be accompanied by Mrs Russell. The Ambassador for Norway, HE Ms Mona Juul, has also accepted an invitation.

Our Alderman for the Ward of Bridge and Bridge Without, Alderman Sir Alan Yarrow, and our Common Councilmen will be supporting our Chairman, Roma Bhowmick.

We hope that as many members of the Club as possible will be able to support the Luncheon and we encourage you to bring your family, friends and guests to share in the occasion.

The cost is £95 - no increase from last year!

Please book without delay and no later than Wednesday 26 April. You can book online or download a booking form to print and post, as you prefer.

Pour memoire cards will be sent to those attending and will be needed to gain access to the Hall.

We look forward to seeing you and your guests on 5 May.
